In Nepal, savings groups don’t just help familie In Nepal, savings groups don’t just help families build financial stability, they create a community of care. When one woman in a group recently lost her husband, the others rallied around her with gifts of food and small contributions, showing her she wasn’t alone. Jandi* shares:

“One saving group member lady, her husband died. She’s a saving group member, and that saving group is talking [about] how they can support her. Most of the saving group members went to visit her. Somebody took some sugar, somebody bought some food. She was feeling so happy. Also they are thinking they want to support [her] with some little amount. They are thinking to collect some rupees, and give it to her. It’s their personal money that they are thinking to support that friend. It’s really good. People are supporting each other, and it’s really amazing.” #economicempowerment #economicdevelopment
In Nepal, a girl carried years of anger toward her In Nepal, a girl carried years of anger toward her father who abandoned her. During a lesson on forgiveness, she chose to forgive him, and felt a heavy burden lift. Today, her heart is lighter, her family is changing, and her mother is now open to the Gospel:

“A 13-year-old girl, Taruni*,l had been part of our children's ministry for several months. She came from a broken family and had been struggling with deep anger and bitterness, particularly towards her father, who had abandoned them many years ago.

One afternoon, during a children's activity centered on forgiveness, I shared the story emphasizing the power of forgiveness and healing. Taruni listened intently, and after the session, she came to me. With tears in her eyes, she shared that she had forgiven her father and felt a heavy burden lift from her heart.

This moment of forgiveness was a significant breakthrough in her life. It began to change her heart and her relationship with her family. She has since become a regular participant in our meetings, and her transformation has deeply impacted her mother. Her mother is now open to learning more about the Gospel.” ~ Amrita*, 44F
The ministry leaders of Harvest Bridge are taking The ministry leaders of Harvest Bridge are taking tremendous risks to reach out to the people of Tibet. They set up small shops on the border between Nepal and Tibet to get to know the Tibetan people. Shalva*, our country director in Nepal, shares more about the courage needed for ministry in this region:

“Actually we have some churches on the border, not inside Tibet. If they know that you are preaching the gospel, that you are Christians, then they will almost kill you. You will lose everything and they will destroy you.”

In spite of this risk, the ministry leaders are sharing the hope of the gospel right now with the people of Tibet.

Your prayers and support are reaching people like Your prayers and support are reaching people like this young man in Nepal, who felt rejected and alone until he found love and community in Jesus. Thank you for helping us bring hope in the hardest places. ❤️

“I met a 23-year-old man, Babik*, who has struggled with physical and emotional challenges since birth. He was born with a collapsed lung, which left permanent effects on his health. Throughout his childhood, he had shaky hands and speech difficulties and was undergoing years of speech therapy from kindergarten through college. But what was more painful than the physical limitations was the emotional wound of rejection that he experienced while growing up. Babik was often excluded from games and friend circles and has been alone for a long time. These rejections continued with him even in his college life and he always felt like an outsider feeling unwanted from everyone.

I met Babik during a gathering that I conducted where something amazing happened. Many young people shared their testimonies and encounters with Jesus and he listened quietly. He also shared his story and he wanted to learn more about Jesus. I shared the gospel with him and gave him a Bible and invited him to another gathering. He felt like Jesus welcomed him with open arms and for the first time he had felt a deep love in his heart. He regularly attended our gatherings and he joined a recovery and discipleship group to celebrate his recovery in Jesus. He started attending the church and began to change little by little. Babik is now more confident and stronger in his faith and has accepted Jesus into his life.” -Adit*, 37M

They come here with pain, but they have a big smile when they get treatment, [from] some medicines or some surgery. Every medical camp, at least one woman is saved from cancer, every time. I can say since I’m Christian, we love you and Jesus loves everyone. That’s why we come to your village.”

Follow along this month as we highlight the minist Follow along this month as we highlight the ministry happening in Nepal and on the Nepal-Tibet border. Nepal faces significant challenges for the ministry leaders, including poverty, climate change induced disasters, strained relationships with its neighbors - China and India, growing religious nationalism and persecution, and recent political upheaval. And through it all, the church in Nepal is flourishing. In the face of hardship, the believers are serving their neighbors with courage, compassion, and unwavering hope.

In Bhutan, missionaries and pastors share the hope In Bhutan, missionaries and pastors share the hope of the gospel in their own villages and cities, as well as traveling to more remote areas of the country. In addition to evangelism, their ministry includes counseling, conducting sports ministry with young people, providing emergency food relief, and providing drug and alcohol rehabilitation. In a country where 84% of the population is Buddhist, understanding how to share their faith in this specific context is critical. Out of this need, a Bible school at the border of India and Bhutan was born. The Bible school students learn comparative religion, intercultural communication, and contextual theology, which ensures that they are well-prepared to engage with their Buddhist communities respectfully and effectively. Ministry leaders in Bhutan shared the Gospel, but Ministry leaders in Bhutan shared the Gospel, but the entire village demanded they leave. In the midst of rejection and persecution, they responded with prayer.

“We experienced a challenging incident while sharing the Gospel. The village is unreached, with no known believers in Jesus Christ. As we began to share God's Word with the villagers, they became hostile and told us to stop and leave. They falsely accused us of bribing people with money to convert them to Christianity. The entire village turned against us, persecuting us and demanding that we leave. Despite the opposition, we prayed for the villagers, asking God to open their hearts to the Good News of Jesus Christ.” -Silas*, 56M
🍞 Baking with Purpose in Bhutan Thanks to your 🍞 Baking with Purpose in Bhutan

Thanks to your support of Harvest Bridge, the Homemade Baking Project in Bhutan is making a meaningful impact, both practically and spiritually. Here's how:

Building Relationships Over Bread: Our leader uses freshly baked goods to connect with villagers, suppliers, and customers. These moments have become invitations to share God’s love in small, powerful ways.

Holistic Ministry in Action: This initiative isn’t just about spiritual care. It addresses physical nourishment, emotional comfort, and community belonging.

Empowering Women Leaders: Women are receiving hands-on training in baking and small business skills, equipping them with tools to earn an income and support their families with dignity.

Sustainable Outreach: By generating their own income, these leaders are growing more self-reliant and less dependent on donations, helping their ministries remain strong and adaptable in the long term.
🙌When all seemed lost, hope broke through. A 23 🙌When all seemed lost, hope broke through. A 23-year-old battling severe drug addiction was brought to one of our partners in Bhutan. Healing came slowly but surely, and his family now testifies to God's mercy in the darkest hour.

“A 23-year-old young man had developed a severe drug addiction, which led to overdose and memory loss. His family brought him to our fellowship, and we understood the gravity of his situation. We fasted and prayed fervently for nearly a week, asking God to touch and heal him. At the time, his condition was dire. He had lost control of his bodily functions and was unable to recognize his own actions. However, after our continuous prayers, God showed His mercy. Slowly but surely, he regained his memory, and his condition improved. Although he's still undergoing the healing process, his family has testified to the touch of God, which brought hope when all seemed lost.”
