July 2026
June 26th marks the beginning of our 2026 Summer Giving Match!
This year, our generous summer match donor is matching up to $70,000 raised! This is our largest goal yet. It means $140,000 can be raised between now and end of day August 9th!
Doing Much With Little
I know that 2026 is a year of economic and geopolitical upheaval, similar, in some ways, to the global pandemic.
Not only for the communities and leaders we come alongside in South Asia and Myanmar, but also for many of you, our supporters and prayer partners. If you are unable to give at this time, I truly understand. If you are able to give, know that it is amazing how far $140,000 can go when coming alongside men and women who do much with little!
If you have followed Harvest Bridge for a while, you’ll know this! With spending $1,071,026 in 2025, our network of 253 missionaries in six countries accomplished the following and more with your support and prayers:
The Individuals of Harvest Bridge
But numbers can’t tell a story. So during this Summer Giving Match, on social media, in our prayer calendar, and here in the newsletter, we are going to highlight some of the individuals who make Harvest Bridge what it is.
We’ve chosen to highlight them not because they are unique in our network, but because they are illustrative of the people and communities we come alongside. These are the men and women you’ll support through your giving.
Meet Nihar*
I’ll start by telling you about Nihar, a 29-year-old painter and church planter who lives and ministers in Nepal with his wife, Prizma*, a tailor. We just began supporting him this past December, after learning of him through our Nepal director, Shalva*. Here is Nihar’s testimony in his own words:
“I was born in the Far Western province of Nepal. I grew up in a devout Hindu family, where we were very committed to performing rituals, poojas [prayers], and following traditional beliefs. From a young age, I was taught to follow the customs of my ancestors, and our home was known for being active in religious practices. But everything changed when a great crisis struck our family.
My elder sister was suddenly possessed by an evil spirit. It was terrifying to watch her suffer. Out of desperation, we took her to many witch doctors and temples, hoping to free her from the satanic power. We spent money, made sacrifices, and followed every instruction, but nothing worked. She remained tormented, and we felt helpless, sad, and defeated. One day, a man came to our house, a person we had never met before. He turned out to be a man of God, and he spoke to us about Jesus Christ. As we listened to the Gospel, a new hope stirred in our hearts. The message was so powerful, so full of peace and truth. That day, I decided to believe in Jesus as my only Lord and Savior. That was the beginning of a new life for me.
The nearest church was about 18 to 20 kilometers from our home, but we started attending fellowship regularly. We didn’t have a church building, so our services were held in the house of one of the believers. Despite the limitations, we continued to grow in faith. I was the first person in my family to believe in Jesus, and I began reading the Bible and living according to God’s word. By God’s grace, my sister was delivered from the hands of Satan, and as I continued to pray and walk in faith, my entire family, with ten members at that time, came to believe in Jesus Christ. It was a miracle that transformed our household.
Eventually, I decided to fully dedicate my life to the Lord. After some years, I took water baptism and gave my life completely to God’s ministry.
That was a turning point. God gave us a new strength and new hope, and since then, my family has experienced joy and peace like never before. I began serving the Lord about 14 years ago. Despite many challenges and pressures, our faith has continued to grow. By God’s grace, I have been able to establish four churches so far. I also focus on raising leaders and handing over responsibilities so that the churches can continue to grow and flourish. We continue to do ministry through Saturday services, Wednesday house fellowships, Friday fasting services, and regularly meeting with our believers for prayer and encouragement.”
So, to put this in perspective, Nihar was a young teen when he dedicated his life to ministry. By the time he was 28, he had helped plant four churches. He managed this with no outside support until we, in collaboration with Global Commission Partners (GCP), began to send him about $70 per month this past December. As you know, we believe that local ministries should and can be self-sufficient. We also recognize that some missionaries operate under extremely adverse conditions and can accomplish much more with some help. In his application, Nihar shared how he and Prizma had supported themselves so far:
“I got married five years ago, and my wife and I now serve the Lord together. She works as a tailor, and I am a painter by profession. Together, our monthly income was very low. Though it is not a large amount, God continues to provide for us and bless us abundantly in every area of life. At present I have three very committed disciples who help me in ministry. Apart from that, my wife also travels with me for the ministry. I need regular ministry support, prayers, ministry tools, and if possible, a motorbike, because I need to travel to very remote places and villages for fellowship and ministry. I am working in faith, with God in His abundant grace supplying all my needs.”
