In the Buddhist kingdom of Bhutan, Harvest Bridge supports 27 pastors and missionaries. This month we want to share the story of Lhamu*, a 34 year old female missionary who has devoted her life to reaching young people with the love of Christ.
Daily Ministry

Every Sunday, we gather for worship, prayer, and teaching from the Word of God. These services have been a great source of encouragement and spiritual growth for our congregation.
A special focus has been given to the youth, with regular youth fellowship meetings where young people are encouraged to grow in their faith, develop godly character, and use their gifts for God’s glory. Through games, Bible study, discussions, and worship, the youth are actively involved and inspired to live for Christ.
We also conduct prayer meetings, house visits, and small group fellowships to build stronger relationships within the church and the community. Evangelistic efforts are made to reach out to those who do not yet know Christ, sharing the Gospel and praying with them. All these activities have helped in building a strong and united church family.
Goals for the Future

I hope to grow closer to God through prayer and reading the Bible, so I can be a better example to others. I want to help and encourage the youth to know God more and grow in their faith.
I hope to create a space where they feel supported, valued, and inspired to live for Christ. Through simple teachings, prayer times, and meaningful activities, I want to help them build a strong foundation in God. Most of all, I want to show God’s love in everything I do and help others, especially young people, walk confidently in their faith.
Changed Lives

One of the young girls in our youth group has been facing pressure from her family for attending church and youth fellowship.
Her parents are not believers and often question her involvement in Christian activities. They tell her she is wasting time and sometimes stop her from going to youth meetings. Even though she feels sad and alone at times, she continues to pray and trust God. She says the youth fellowship gives her peace and strength. Slowly, her parents have started noticing positive changes in her attitude and behaviour. Now, they are more open to letting her attend church, and she continues to grow in her faith.
Another youth member was made fun of by his classmates because he chose to follow Christian values. They laughed at him for not using bad language, avoiding parties, and staying true to his beliefs. At first, he felt discouraged and wanted to stay quiet about his faith. But after sharing with the youth group, he received support and prayer, which gave him courage. He decided to stand firm, and now some of his friends respect him more. One even joined a youth meeting out of curiosity. This experience reminded us that even small acts of faith can impact others.
We’ve seen God work in quiet but powerful ways, especially through the life of one young man we’ve been walking alongside. He’s been part of our regular gatherings, but for a long time, he was hesitant to fully engage with anything spiritual. He would come, listen quietly, and leave without much interaction.
We prayed consistently for him, asking God to soften his heart and give him a genuine encounter with Jesus. About two months ago, something shifted. He started asking questions, small at first, like “Why do you guys’ meet every week?” or “What’s the point of praying together?” But then it grew deeper. He began opening up about some struggles at home and a growing curiosity about God. We kept listening, praying, and encouraging him. The breakthrough came during one of our youth meetings. He finally asked if he could stay afterward to talk more.
That night, he shared that he’d started reading the Bible on his own and had felt a strange peace he couldn’t explain. He said, “I don’t know what’s happening to me, but I feel like something is changing inside.” We told him that was God at work, gently drawing him in. This experience has been a clear answer to prayer. We had been asking God for just one heart to be stirred and He gave us that and more. It’s been a reminder that God is always at work, even when we can’t see it right away.

Prayer Requests
One of the young girls in our youth group has been facing pressure from her family for attending church and youth fellowship.
I ask for healing and endurance as I manage thyroid issues, and for my husband’s healing from gastric problems and related pressure. Please also pray for my children to grow in faith, wisdom, and strong health. In ministry, pray that the youth would come to know Jesus personally and grow firm in their faith. Ask God to gently draw in those who are still hesitant or afraid to open their hearts to Him. Please pray for wisdom, love, and patience as we guide the youth, and for more faithful leaders to join and strengthen the ministry. Pray for God’s protection and unity within our youth group, and that even small acts of faith would be used by Him to touch and transform many lives.
