Persecution Response and Advocacy

Persecution Response

2 Pastors’ bail, legal fees, medical bills, and family needs covered after they were imprisoned for several weeks due to their faith

5 Families supported with food and basic needs after being attacked for their faith and forced to leave their village

Advocacy for Gypsy & Tribal Communities

26 Women received legal help to be freed from prison after police arrested them without reason, with the intention of sexually assaulting them

~600 People received banking access, to begin saving money in a bank for the first time

~700 Gypsy and Tribal people who are discriminated against because of their caste and therefore were undocumented, received citizenship and ID rights & certifications through advocacy of HB-supported leader

256 Families from two communities granted the government-provided housing they were entitled to, due to advocacy (and were also provided shelter and utilities while their homes were being built)
